The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- some short, horizontal creases across the scroll, particularly along the left edge as well as in the upper part of the painting;
- some light signs of soiling across;
- minor areas of paper loss and paper tears visible, especially near the bottom edge of the scroll, as well as along the upper edge, which have been restored;
- sign of paper loss and re-painting in the dedication;
- it is in our opinion that this work is in overall good condition.
